Medical care in the DR
I cut my pinky last week, I was washing dishes and the glass that I was scrubbing broke. I know, that's a real manly way to get an injury. Stop laughing at me. Maybe the glass broke because of the overpowering brute strength contained within my fingers. Anyway, I needed stitches, so I had a friend take me to a clinic where I received 3 stitches for 12 dollars. That's about $488 less than it would have been to go to the ER in the US. I love this country.

Just stopping by to say hello. I go to CBC, I work in the ER at SE Hospital and I'm so glad you saved some money!! It's amazing how much stuff costs in the medical field here. Take care of that finger! :-D

Hey there ... I'm Gayle's sister, Marlene Rothenberger, and also go to CBC ... you already knew that, but you probably didn't know that I was Gayle's sister. Do take care of that finger!
Know that we are praying for you over there this summer ~ you and your sister! I really enjoy reading your blogs - great stories.

Hey JC!
Glad to hear that your finger was a cheap fix! Soon we're heading to Missouri, and I just know that we're gonna miss you so much when we get there and you aren't there! Glad to hear things are going well and that you get to spend the summer time with Sarah. I'm sure its great to see a familiar face far from home. We're praying for ya, and if you ever need ANYTHING at all, just let us know! Love and miss you!
