a weekend well spent
I spent the last weekend at one of our ministry sites in a different city in the country. This school, placed right in the middle of acres of sugarcane fields, caters mostly to Hatian immigrants that are smuggled across the border to work in the fields chopping down the sugarcane. This area is an example poverty to the extreme. I'm still chewing on what I witnessed there, more will come from me later, but I have attached some pictures below to show some of the kids.

Jon,
My name is Linda Adams/Coach Adams. I was reading the update that was sent from Randy Black. I attend a Bible Study with the Beller's on Wed night. We were talking about ways we could serve the Lord. Well your letter just fell into my thoughts just in time. I would like to hear more info on sponsoring a child. Our group is wanting to serve. I need to know what is involved so I can present it to the group. My heart was touched reading about your work in DR. I know my place here is to serve the Lord. Please give me some details. What beautiful children you have there. I just viewed the movie "End of the Sphere"and it gave me such an appreciation of just how much Missionaries love our Creator. Anyway I am getting off track. Could you please let me know how we might be able to serve the Lord through you.
As I read your thoughts I can feel how much you love the Lord.
Praise GOd!!
Friends in Christ
Linda Adams
